Race: Human (Augmented: Spartan III)
Faction: UNSC
Division: Spartan (Branch)
Original Rank and Home Branch: Army Lieutenant for SPECWAR, later an ONI Agent
ID: S-B312
Name: [REDACTED]
Nickname: Six
Gender: Male
Age: 27 (As of 2558; Born in 2531)
Height: 6' 9”
Weight: 239 lbs.
Appearance: Six has pale skin, hazel eyes, and short dirty-blond hair. Beyond that, he has angular, aloof features, partly helped by eyebrows that make him look almost perpetually calculating, stern, and even almost angry. That being said, he has a hell of a mischievous-looking crooked grin. His wiry physique is scarred, mostly thanks to events that happened during the Fall of Reach, which includes a long scar running across his right cheek from near his earlobe to his chin.
Armor: Six uses a customized suit of dull grey MJOLNIR GEN2 armor which has the Mark IV variant as a base, with a modified Recon or LOCUS helmet to top it all off.
Armor Ability: “Invincibility” (Similar to the Equipment from Halo 3 and the Armor Lock ability from Halo Reach. Short period during which the user's energy shields are boosted, making them practically invulnerable. Uses up less charge when staying still. Takes a while to fully recharge.)
Weapons/Equipment:
~BR85 Battle Rifle, MA5D Assault Rifle, or M395 DMR (optionally w/silencers)
~M6H2 Magnum (right leg)
~M6C (left underarm harness)
~Type-1 Energy Sword (customized hilt)
~2 Combat Knives
~Frag Grenades
~Flashbang Grenades
Personality: Quiet, to the point, and often stoic, Six often has the “lone wolf” moniker applied to him. Though he does his best to remain professional while in the field, he possesses a dry wit and sometimes enjoys a good bit of banter. He also generally cares for others, even some aliens, and often tries to get along with most people despite being a professional assassin.
Strengths:
~One of the reasons Six was set apart from the rest of Beta Company before Operation: TORPEDO was because he was physically superior to most of the other SPARTAN-III's after their augmentation procedures, thanks to his genetic set. Called a “cat 2” by Kurt Ambrose, Six most definitely fit the extremely strict physical and psychological requirements for the SPARTAN-II program.
~Another reason was because of how damn good Six actually was. One of the best and most effective trainees in Beta Company, he soon became one of the deadliest Spartans ever. He is cunning, resourceful, extremely lethal, and highly skilled in many areas, especially assault tactics, stealth and wetwork ops, piloting, and melee combat.
Weaknesses:
~Six works best alone or in a small team. Even despite working with Noble Team, and later his stint as a trainer for the SPARTAN-IV's, Six can and often will go solo when he feels the situation requires it. Granted, he has shown some (admittedly slow) progress in that regard, meaning he isn't quite as bad as he used to be, but it's still an integral part of his character.
~Despite his mostly lone wolf-type personality, he does care for his fellow humans quite a bit (and even some non-humans) He has undertaken life-threatening actions to assist soldiers, civilians, and his teammates (when in a team), and he would do so again without much hesitation. In essence, Six is good people.
AI: Kokabel
History:
One of the 418 orphaned children claimed by ONI for training in the SPARTAN-III program, Six was one of the few who fit the SPARTAN-II requirements, called cat 2's by Lieutenant Kurt Ambrose. And it showed in his performance during training, and especially after augmentations. He and a few select others outshone the rest of their Beta Company comrades well enough that Kurt handpicked them to be left out of Operation: TORPEDO.
After the massacre of a mission that was TORPEDO, Six's survival and existence was classified. As a result, he became a black operator and assassin under ONI. Over the course of his career until 2552, he's broken terrorist organizations, made entire militia groups disappear, assassinated high-ranking Covenant targets, was a test pilot for the Sabre Program, and more.
Reassigned to Noble Team shortly before the Fall of Reach, Six and the others discovered Covenant recon teams on Reach. After massive fleets from both the UNSC and Covenant arrived at the planet, Noble was assigned to save Doctor Halsey and subsequently bring Cortana to the Pillar of Autumn. Six personally carried Cortana during the journey to the Pillar of Autumn, and shortly thereafter assisted in defending the ship from Covenant attackers. During that time, all other members of Noble Team, save for Jun, died.
The rest is history, with Halo, the defense of Earth, the Ark, personally overseeing the training of Spartan Fireteams Crimson and Osiris (among others), and beyond.

A fern rustled slightly as he passed, but with the nighttime sounds of the forest and its inhabitants filling the air, no one was any the wiser. Unfortunately for them.
Six paused and surveyed the Covenant base in front of him. A quick thermal scan showed that there were two Jackal sentries on a guard tower poking several meters above the top of the wall, suspended by an anti-grav lift from below. On the wall itself was a Grunt at a plasma turret, occasionally turning it to aim at random points in the forest outside the wall.
He lifted his battle rifle and squeezed the trigger, causing a muted rapid triple-cough to sound. The silenced burst sent three bullets tearing through a Jackal's chest and throat, downing it instantly. He switched targets and fired again, pulling off a headshot on the second Jackal before it could so much as flinch after being spattered by its comrade's blood.
The Grunt made a confused sound and turned to look around for the origin of the thuds, but couldn't immediately see anything; what with the sniper platform being above its head, the Grunt wouldn't have been able to see the two dead Jackals.
The Spartan slung the battle rifle onto his back, then broke into a sprint, footsteps surprisingly quiet despite his size, weight, and speed. He sprang up into the air as he neared the wall, then grabbed a protrusion which he used as a handhold. Six rapidly scaled the wall and paused, left hand holding onto the ledge while he drew a knife with his right. He peered above the edge, and when he saw the Grunt turn back around, Six lunged.
His blade pierced the Grunt's throat, and he seized it by and arm and tossed it over the edge, down to the forest floor. Six grabbed his knife and pulled it from the Grunt's body before it fell out of reach, however.
He flicked the luminescent blue blood off the knife and sheathed it, then pulled himself up and over onto the top of the wall.
“My estimates say there are close to fifty Covenant Remnant contacts in here,” Kokabel's peppy voice said into his ear. “Mainly concentrated around the barracks and what seems to be the primary C&C structure. Ooh, and look! Plasma batteries,” she added with more than a little glee in her voice, though he'd noticed them at roughly the same time she'd spoken up.
Six nodded once, then grabbed the plasma turret and tore it off its stand. He easily hauled it along with him as he hopped into the grav lift leading up to the sniper perch. There were a few Covenant soldiers milling around down below, but he timed it right so none of them saw him.
Armored feet thudded lightly on the floor of the platform as he touched down. He glanced at the two Jackal corpses and saw that one had a beam rifle. Perfect.
He set the turret down and grabbed the beam rifle, then swapped it for the battle rifle on his back. He pulled out a frag grenade, thumbed the activation switch, and lobbed it at a large cluster of plasma batteries. It landed next to the glowing batteries as he took aim with the battle rifle. There were several other snipers and guards along the base's three walls, including this one; they needed to be dealt with first.
Six started firing a second before the grenade went off. A boom filled the air, along with a bright plume of multicolored fire. He ignored it and kept firing, rapidly picking off the sentinels as the base rose to full alert. When he'd fired the last burst, Six was already moving to grab a fresh magazine. As he reloaded, he glanced down at the rest of the base.
Covenant soldiers--Elites, Grunts, and Jackals--were rushing around, a select few barking orders amidst the chaos while others searched for the perpetrator of the explosion or moved to cover. A couple dozen of them poured out of the barracks, while more still started reinforcing the C&C building.
All of that he took in as he slid the magazine home, pushed the bolt forward, and shouldered the battle rifle again. He used half of the magazine's ammo to take down the remaining enemies on the walls, using quick, almost continuous bursts. By the end, about ten to twelve Covenant corpses were lying still and cooling.
“I think they're starting to notice you, even with the silencer...” Kokabel remarked, though that was rather obvious.
The Covenant down on the ground were now looking up at his platform, the Commanders and Warriors pointing and bellowing. Six set the battle rifle on the floor and hefted the plasma turret, then set it on the meter-tall rise at the edge of the platform. He aimed down at the biggest crowd of enemies he could see and pulled the trigger.
A stream of glowing blue plasma bolts slashed through the Covenant's ranks, killing several unshielded enemies and swiftly downing the Elites' energy shields. Several of those below dashed for cover and started returning fire. Plasma bolts, needles, and concussive shots all flew at him. He activated Invincibility while he switched targets, still holding the trigger down on the turret, resulting in several more Covenant soldiers receiving burning holes in their bodies.
Meanwhile, the hostile fire just...bounced or skipped off of him. Plasma bolts, needles, carbine rounds, they were all repulsed by his boosted and enhanced energy shielding. He kept shooting until the turret's battery was dry, then tossed it aside and unslung the beam rifle.
The platform rocked beneath enemy fire that didn't hit him, mostly explosive rounds from a few concussion rifles and plasma casters. Six hopped into the air and let his thrusters fire, steadying him and keeping him afloat. He aimed and fired quickly four times, killing two Elite Warriors a good distance away and a Commander closer to his stolen sniper platform.
The beam rifle overheated, venting excess heat and a tiny bit of plasma. Six tossed it aside just before he dropped back onto the platform as it steadied itself. The Invincibility ended as he grabbed his battle rifle again.
Time to move.
Six surged forward. He planted a foot on the edge of the platform and sprang off, thrusters firing and propelling him farther and faster. He aimed for the nearest group of Covenant and descended, rocketing towards them. His feet smashed into a Grunt and shattered its body as he drove it to the ground, a small shockwave temporarily staggering the nearby enemies.
Thrusters still firing, he kept up his forward momentum by launching himself at an Elite directly in front of himself. He pulled a fist back and slugged the alien right in the face, downing its shield and breaking several mandibles. The Elite's head snapped back and it flipped over, landing heavily on its front.
He whirled, battle rifle leveled at the rest of the Covenant squad. He switched to full-auto and opened fire, emptying the rest of his mag into the aliens there. Blood sprayed, bodies fell, and he turned to dash to cover in order to let his shields recharge.
After Six had reloaded and waited for the usual bweep~ of the shields to fully recharge, he switched back to burst fire and darted out into the open. He ducked and weaved through enemy fire as he moved towards the C&C building, shooting back at the Covenant in his way as he did so.
He raced from cover to cover, occasionally engaging an Elite or four in melee. It was then that he slid a knife out and slung the battle rifle onto his back, then went to work on delivering a punishing flurry of strikes and stabs, movements so fast the Elites just weren't able to keep up.
When their broken and bloodied corpses lay twitching at his feet, Six moved on without a second thought.
Then, when he was a mere twenty meters from the C&C structure, the front door slid open. Several Elites funneled out, carrying storm rifles, plasma casters, and a couple even had fuel rod guns. In their midst, near the back of the group, was the Zealot in command of the base.
Six grunted as he scampered to the side, thrusters firing to help him evade enemy fire, though he was able to pull out two grenades and toss them at the Elites before taking cover. He still felt his shields take several hits, but they weren't completely downed.
Twin explosions sounded, making mincemeat of at least a few of the Elites.
“On the bright side, he came out to us,” Kokabel chirped, speaking about the Zealot. “Should make things easier.”
“For a given definition of easy,” Six muttered. He jumped up, thrusters once again firing to help him scale the wall nearest the C&C structure in record time. “Invincibility time?”
“Currently, you're able to use your armor ability for roughly seven seconds. A couple seconds less if you move really quickly,” Kokabel instantly replied.
Six nodded, then dumped all non-essential power (not including shields) into recharging the armor ability. He kept mobile on the wall, focusing on killing the fuel rod gunners first, though he wasn't as quick and agile, seeing as how he had no thrusters active. That and everything but the shield indicator on his HUD had vanished.
The battle rifle finally clicked after almost thirty seconds, signaling that he had completely run out of ammo for it. Six slid behind good, thick cover, then dumped his shield energy into charging Invincibility up to full. He attached the battle to the magnets on his back, then replaced it with his M6H2 and flicked the safety off.
“Ten seconds at max speed!” Kokabel piped up.
A satisfied smile crossed Six's face for a moment. He returned power in his armor's systems back to normal, then waited a few seconds for his shields to charge back up.
The Spartan sprang out of cover and barely seemed to hit the ground--his feet just touched it and he was off, hurtling in the direction of the Zealot and its guard. The high-ranking Elite roared a challenge and fired its storm rifle at him. The other Elites followed suite. He counted fourteen, including the Zealot.
Yeah, he had time.
He pulled out the M6C with his left hand and pulled the triggers on both magnums as fast as he could, the bullets slamming against a Warrior's shields and spraying its brain over a nearby wall. He switched to a Commander and emptied the rest of his magnums into its chest, sending it down to the ground, choking on its own blood. Six twitched when he felt impacts against his shields, and activated Invincibility in response before they could get down to so much as a third strength. He dropped the mangums and slid both of his knives out, then went to work.
Six was a grey blur as he stabbed, kicked, elbowed, and thruster-kneed Elites in the face. For the second time in a few minutes, he was rendered all but immune to whatever the Elites could throw at him. The Zealot learned that the hard way when it activated an energy sword and slashed down at him with it. The blade of superheated gas was sent skidding off and away, leaving the Zealot off-balance and vulnerable.
Taking the opportunity, Six seized the Zealot's sword arm, then brutally wrenched it behind the Elite's back and stole the sword from its grasp. He spun, sword humming as it burned through the air. And then it sliced into the back of the Zealot's legs. Fortunately, its powerful shielding prevented Six from fully severing the Zealot's limbs, but the sword did hamstring the bastard and sent it to its knees.
It didn't really matter that the Zealot had escaped loss of limb, as a second later, Six had hopped into the air and descended onto its head. He stomped it down into the ground with a satisfying crunch of metal helmet and bone, then sprang off at the three remaining Elites. He stabbed and slashed with the energy sword, and even though they had swords of their own and were quite skilled in their use, he was faster and couldn't be touched by their weapons at that moment.
Six parried a strike, severed another Zealot's arm, then turned to face a Warrior and lunged, impaling it through the chest. He grabbed a plasma grenade off the Warrior's belt, activated it, and slapped it against the third Elite's side.
“Tag.”
He dove away, thrusters firing to increase his jumping distance. Invincibility wore off a second before the grenade detonated, killing the third Elite and sending the second to the ground. Six stood and surveyed the base, slowly stepping over to the still-squirming one-armed Zealot. It was quiet. Corpses littered the place, blood painted the walls and structures, and smoke lazily drifted into the air. The base was devoid of sentient beings, save for himself.
Six stepped on the back of the Zealot's neck and pressed down, crushing its vertebrae underfoot.
Well. Now there weren't any other living things.
“I think we got everyone,” Kokabel said after a moment. “Should I call in evac?”
Six nodded.
“Time to leave.”
