Appearance: Dieter's looks matched his years, he was thirty-one years-young, and a man of fair complexion. His skin was lightly tanned from the gentle touch of dozens of suns. His eyes were a deep, alluring green that had a bit of twinkle to them. He had a short, dark brown hair, and preferred to keep his face cleanly shaven. That being said, he usually had some slight shadow, but always made sure to not let it get too long and scruffy. Dieter stood at about six feet, two inches and weighed 184 lbs. He was a fit man, and his body was well-toned, though he was not particularly muscular.
Armor:
Personality: Dieter is a rather cynical man, believing that everyone is in it for themselves. Oddly enough, he bases this belief around himself, and his own selfish nature. He has killed those he once called friend or ally, and without remorse. He is not, however, some stone-faced killer. Dieter is, above all, a man of comedy, or at least he thinks so. His sense of humor is dark, and often involves playing dangerous jokes on others that, more often than not, they result in some manner of damage or casualty. Dieter is rather intelligent, always relying on trickery and deception to keep himself one step ahead of his enemies. While usually careful and intelligent, he often throws himself into the fray on a gamble, or as he would say a "fuck it", he does this so that he seems reckless to others, though he only ever does so when the odds are stacked in his favor. When once asked for his opinion on the Sangheili, he replied, "The big fuckers? Eh, they're alright."
Strengths: Dieter shows a complete disregard for human life, allowing him to carry out his duties without any distractions. He's also very skilled with a sniper rifle, and his helmet was designed specifically for him, offering information on his environment and where he is aiming. Despite being a bit messed up in the head, Dieter loves socializing with others and prides himself on his silver tongue.
Weaknesses: In the age of super-soldiers and fuckin' huge-ass aliens, Dieter is just a man. Sometimes he wishes he was a goddamn cyborg, but alas, he is not. Therefore, he isn't as strong as many of his enemies, and prefers to keep his distance from them. He is also easily enticed by the allure of weapons, technology, credits, etc. and it often lands him in trouble.
History: Little is known of Dieter's early life, as he grew up rather poor on one of the outer colonies and preferred to keep the details to himself. As a young man, he decided he wanted to serve in the UNSC Marine Corps. He passed every examination, both written and physical, with flying colors. He would be a model soldier if his mouth wasn't always getting him into trouble, as his superiors usually didn't share his odd sense of humor. Three years into his service, he was given the opportunity to become an ODST, which he graciously pursued. Oddly enough, he found himself struggling at times in training. It became clear to him he was training to be a whole new type of soldier, as he had never had such intense difficulty with anything in his life. He did, however, make it. He became an ODST and served for another four years, all the while his perception of reality as he knew it shifting. Dieter, throughout his service, was exposed to the horrors of war. Though it didn't bother him as much as some of the others, it touched him deeply. He began to hate the Covenant, the very existence of those vile creatures that had killed so many of his comrades. But as the war dragged on, the battlefields grew, and the bodies piled up, Dieter began losing faith in those he fought alongside, those he fought for. Then, he realized, he was only fighting for once person: himself. He chose a side to fight for, because if that side had lost, he would, along with all other humans, be slaughtered by the Covenant. That was why everyone else joined the war, that is why they chose to fight, for themselves. This realization was followed by the relinquishing of his unconditional hatred for the Covenant, even beginning to respect some of their warriors. It did, however, lead to a growth in cynicism towards his fellow humans. As the war more or less reached its end, and humanity was rebuilding, Dieter was almost at the end of his service. Dieter had, during his first year of duty as an ODST, saved the life of a Naval Special Warfare Command officer. Dieter managed to convince the young officer to assist him in securing an AI, though the officer was hesitant, Dieter assured him no harm would come of it, and that he would ensure the AI never came in contact with anything outside of a controlled environment. Dieter made off with an outdated AI, already exemplifying early signs of rampancy. The officer did this intentionally, concluding either Dieter would find no use of it, or it would merely deteriorate.
After his time in the UNSC's Marine Corps, Dieter, having grown an affinity for combat, became a freelance mercenary. Dieter soon realized how difficult it was as an upstarting mercenary. Sure, he had plenty of combat experiencing, and was a rather good soldier, but he simply lacked renown. Dieter found himself short of work most of the time for his first year or so as a freelancer and it became clear to him, he had to do something to grasp the attention of potential employers. Dieter had, by this point, found little use for his AI companion, he simply did not have any equipment necessary to utilize it. He then realized that the all the prestige he could ever need was in his hands the whole time- a stolen UNSC AI. The AI was experimental, and never saw use in the field, and was thus never given an official designation beyond its identification number, 945. Dieter came into contact with a faction of insurrectionists in the outer colonies after doing some investigating, which didn't take him too long. It wasn't uncommon for young men and women in the colonies to join the Insurrection for less than zealous reasons, many of them simply wishing to escape poverty or accomplish something beyond the monotony of being just another generation of dirt farmer. Dieter, with the help of locals, had located the Insurrectionists. Rather than attempt to make contact otherwise, he went on his own to meet with some of their men, saying that he could be a valuable asset to them. They took some convincing, but within the week Dieter was meeting with an officer of the Insurrection, with whom he shared that he had stolen a UNSC AI. Once shown the AI, the man was unable to believe his eyes, immediately offering Dieter a rather generous position within the Insurrection, to which Dieter refused, explaining he had no intention of joining, and that he was simply a mercenary. A few days of negotiations later, and Dieter was employed by the Insurrection, whom had agreed to maintain AI 945 as best they could, in addition to paying and supplying Dieter. It became apparent, however, that Dieter's new-found allies could only, as they'd said, maintain 945, not repair it. Dieter would still, however, find the AI extremely helpful, though not always reliable. The Insurrectionists constructed Dieter a helmet, designed to his specification, and that was capable of 945's interaction. The AI was now more useful than ever to Dieter, assisting him in his work by offering information on his targets, environment, and so on.
When given his first assignment, Dieter, accompanied by some number of Insurrectionists, had boarded a UNSC corvette, managing to kill the majority of the crew before preparing to destroy the ship from the inside. Dieter tried to convince his employers it would be far more beneficial to steal the ship, though they insisted on sending a message via its destruction. Before the ship was assaulted, its communications were jammed, unbeknownst to the crew. As Dieter and his comrades were preparing to leave, he triggered a mayday on purpose, relaying only the message: "HAHAHA 945", in reference to the AI which he had made off with. This bold act gained him fame as a mercenary, and as a fighter for the Insurrection, though he cared not for them beyond their employment.
Over the next three years, Dieter would continue working for the Insurrectionists, performing assassinations, ambushes, robberies and much else. He, as an individual, even became designated as a terrorist for his actions, and willingness to involve civilians in his work. He was usually the first to suggest taking hostages, destroying crucial infrastructure, or throwing civilians into the fray. He decided to name his AI, FMJ, referring to full metal jacket rounds and the AI's helpfulness when Dieter was sniping or performing assassinations. Dieter took to simply calling the AI "Jay", for short. Now, in Dieter's fourth successful year as a mercenary, he has all the equipment he could ask for. He prefers to travel as light as possible, in order to better perform hit-and-runs on his targets. He carries a 99-D Anti Material Rifle, a M6C Magnum, and his combat knife. He wore rather basic, light armor, much of his body left exposed, and the armor itself mostly ineffective. He wore a hooded half-cloak that was tight over his chest and shoulders, and only came partially down his torso. His helmet, however, was a feat of engineering. It was, in and of itself, nothing very impressive, but it was constructed specifically to synchronize with Jay, and was just as sophisticated as any helmet used by the UNSC. Today, Dieter and Jay consider each other friends, despite Jay's apparent rampancy. Today, Dieter plans to strike out against the UNSC once again, he is given more free-reign than ever, due to his love for his job, and he plans to keep it that way. Today, Dieter will show the stars what he is capable of.

Armor Ability: N/A
Anything else?: Jay often appears to be screaming incoherently in Korean, and Dieter seems to be the only one who can understand him when he does so, despite not speaking Korean.
