"Remember the mission Red, the president of Armalite is expecting this man alive... without his knowledge we can not produce any more armaments of his velocity !" A metallic voice would shout to the now sitting Red who had her helmet removed. She was sitting in the back of a closet, adjacent to a widow which looked over a long road where the man's APV would come barreling down.
"I know I know I know.... but this mission is annoying with those..... those pigs down there mocking me" Red replied whilst pointing to a small hole in the floor which looked down on a group of four Marines, all of which were male and equipped with basic armaments, what any soldier of their class would wield with their DTM Shotguns and MA5C Assault Rifles.
"Whatever, I suggest we check for any signs of the man, you in?"
They were to busy talking to locals to bother hearing the remark made on them. She nodded to the idea and got up from her post to sit next to the window, her rifle propped against the wood and slightly sticking out of the opening before she grabbed it by the barrel and positioned it to simulate if she were in combat, aiming down the road as she saw dust kick up from the dirt. The greenery were overshadowed by the ugly amount of desert-like sandy areas that simply made this look like a painting. She peered at the dust to see a form appear, looking similar to that of the vehicle described to her over the intel meeting.
"Jackpot"
In almost a flash, Red bolted up, having her rifle strapped to her back almost like a Katana of Feudal Japan, running down stairs and grabbing one of the soldiers by his helmet and forcibly throwing him through the door without even looking at him, and bursting through the window along side, trying to keep as far a distance as possible from them. "Ew, I touched him...." Was all she said as the other three men went to help up the other, and looked at her horrified. She watched as the vehicle came close to the outer buildings that lined the small town, waiting for it to stop so she could begin the mission.
"So all I have to do is protect this thing?" She exclaimed about the dingy APV (All Personnel Vehicle: Large APC) as it came closer. She really did not want to have to get into the car with the soldiers, so she had already made plans to ride in the top hatch, which was made to be coated in walls and resemble an armored sniper's nest.
"God Red, calm down" Said a marine that Red did't know the name of, so she called him Cookie, along with Mr.Whiskers, Steven, and Bob Ross. They were the odds of all marines she had met. The all wore a red bandana over their helmets, with a clear wording of "Are we the Covenant's Nazis?". They has given her one before the mission, which she had wrapped around her thigh.

Another day another assignment. Xia-Yu had yet again been hired by the Insurgency to help them out with something. Today's mission was to either kidnap or neutralize an important figure to the UNSC and honestly the cybernetic individual just...didn't care which option she picked. Her employer would prefer she kidnap the target so they could use his knowledge for their own benefits but Xia-Yu honestly just wanted to kill the guy and get it done with. Killing the target would harm the UNSC and no amount of damage no matter how miniscule was worth it especially when you consider how the UNSC had pretty much destroyed her life. Her A.I, a rather simple program whom had been running her mechanical organs in the background, awoke Xia-Yu from her lucid dreaming shattering the illusion of the memory she was reliving. The soldier for hire sighed and opened her eyes the mechanical spheres taking in light to show her what exactly was before her. Before her was a mostly barren road surrounded by desert sand with sparse patches of greenery here and there. Diving towards Xia-Yu an ugly armoured vehicle was making its way towards her and her ambush location.Having always been one for prior planning Xia-Yu had spent weeks planning for this mission. Worming details out of drunken soldiers, interrogating then disposing of high level officers and of course breaching UNSC radio communications all for the sole purpose of discovering where, when and how her target would be going from point A to point B. She knew her target would be inside an armoured vehicle, it was rather obvious even if she hadn't tortured a NSC solider for the information, and that had determined just exactly how she would be getting at her target.
On the road she had placed down numerous mines, created with plastic exteriors to try and fool metal detectors, and collectively they had enough explosive power to flip the armoured vehicle on its back. In fact these remotely detonated mines were designed to flip armoured vehicles over which would then force the people inside to get out and that was when Xia-Yu would strike. She sat waiting patiently sequestered away among rocks, sand and foliage waiting for her target's vehicle to slowly cross over the mines. When the APC did drive over the mines they'd explode with more than enough to force to send it skyward and flipping it over onto its back. When that happened Xia-Yu would do....nothing. She'd simply wait, watch and observe. She had no idea what kind of security the target had with them and so before charging in to grab him she was going to observe the situation, Honestly Xia-Yu was hoping after their vehicle got flipped over, which would probably badly damage the bottom of it due to the location of the mines, that everyone inside would get out and hopefully take up positions in a nearby building or something. Static locations, especially none military buildings, were always a lot easier to infiltrate and get into than a heavily armoured vehicle that was driving about. Plus there was one other thing Xia-Yu had in favour that would hopefully make this mission a lot easier. You see when she learned of the vehicle's route she had personally toured and created maps of every nearby abandoned building than soldiers may or may not decided to repurpose as a temporary hideout. She sat there silently, motionless her unflinching gaze focusing on the hopefully upturned APV waiting to see what move her opponents would play next. She flexed her arms, all ten of them, while her mechanical heart kept a steady, perfect heartrate mostly insured by an onboard A.I handling background functions such as that.
It was at that moment the weather decided to further tips the odds in Xia-Yu's favour. Sandy, dust covered parts of Earth where there was little natural barriers against wind often suffered from sandstorms and that was precisely what was happening. A massive gust of wind blew in and kicked up sand reducing visibility to a mere few feet ahead of you of course that was a problem for Xia-Yu too; Yes her mechanical eyes were vastly more powerful and could see at longer ranges than a normal human's but they still couldn't see through dense sandstorms like this. Unluckily enough the same was true for her but it was still something she could take advantage of. Xia-Yu remained in her hiding place using both the rocks and foliage surrounding her as well as the sandstorm to hopefully hide herself from vision. "Zian....play memory file B-80..." It was a mental thought sent to her support A.I and she obliged playing back that memory. The one that signified the change of everything. Xia-Yu physically twitched starting to feel slightly sick as she forced herself to watch the painful footage but eventually it just got too much and she forced it to stop. It was probably a bad idea for her to lucid dream in her memories during such a situation as this. She had a target to neutralize, one that was probably protected by UNSC soldiers which would be no problem for her. She had never met a human soldier that could beat her in close combat and the reason for that was not due to her additional arms, See thanks to Xia-Yu's synthetic skin she was more than capable of turning off pain receptors in certain parts of her body and that combined with mechanical musculature allowed her to push herself further than any normal human as it she could access something called maximal strength. Maximal strength is the very peak of physical strength the human body can access but prolonged usage caused damage to muscles, hence why normal humans could only access it during high stress situations, but thanks to her mechanical parts Xia-Yu was at no risk of that. To put it in context maximal strength once allowed a man to lift an entire front half of a car by himself and not feel any pain from breaking three teeth until hours later. That was one thing that made her so deadly to fight in close quarters.

As the sandstorm rolled in, removing visuals it also began to hurt as the sand slashed her face, forcing her to place on her helmet on with the minor scratches that lined her face and would heal later. Her HUD powered up as Crescent's delicate voice began to speak.
"Main light powering on.... minor wounds on the cheeks and temple, but obviously not fatal, but there seems to be no more injuries on you... Medical Scan complete... Sniper's Guide powered on... You're ready to go dear!" Cresc finished, as the red lights in the HUD began to show a circle start to wander around and pick out the dust particles one by one until Red turned them off herself. She looked around, finding the little sniper's nest she was sitting in was being pelted by dust, which she resorted to pulling down think wool trap doors to cover the openings. Her HUD was unable to prevent seeing the dust, but her Sniper's Guide happened to activate and show an enhanced zoom function, which was useless in this fight. For this fight....
She was blind.
As the trapdoors were slammed with dust, Red placed her sniper through a small slit and looked down her sight, which was being hit by the dust but doing now full damage, and looked around while the car started up and began to drive forward, the wind crashing against the thick metal and scraping past the glass windows loudly. Red prepared for any assaults, as she had been alerted of enemies planning the assassination, but with so many terrorist organisations how could she know more didn't exist. Her ebing the most prepared one in her squad, as the men below simply got drunk and flirted with the target's daughter. What was she going to do? She couldn't tell if anyone would be coming.... if a fight started, this would be CQC. She grabbed her 14.7 Caliber rifle and sighted down if anyone were to come. All she could see was around seven to five feet in front of her.
After a moment of silence, she could hear a small noise. It sounded like a crunch at first, until the click was an obvious give away. "OH SHI" Was all she got out before a large amount of explosive power detonated under the bottom right wheel of the APC as the large car flipped over itself, landing heavily on its top, nearly killing Red as the sniper's nest collapsed and forced her to hold it from crushing her by having her feet act as a medium. After hearing the other soldiers get out, Red forced the car over to its side as she crawled out into the storm.
"Where are we?" said the marines, as Red made her look around seeing nothing nearby as the dust had gathered in her visor, requiring her tho slowly wipe away the sand and silt.
"No clue... we were moving from the edge of town for about a minute so not to far. Can't be..." She said calmly, taking her Weapons from the ground and stringing them to her shoulders. She looked around closely, seeing a vague picture of the target being revived from the dirt by a comrade, and picked up to safety, now somehow they had to find a way out of there. Their car is gone, and the target is open. The time to protect is now.

Despite her total lack of visibility in this sandstorm Xia-Yu knew that her mines had found their mark hopefully sending the vehicle skywards and flipping it over not to mention a high likelihood of the axle structure getting damaged. Taking advantage of the sandstorm Xia-Yu crawled out of her hiding place on the stomach staying low to the ground as she slowly made her way towards the source of the explosion. Fortunately, and mostly thanks to the direction she was approaching from, Xiayu had the vehicle between her and the soldiers. She pressed herself against the now upright vehicle, and while she wondered why it wasn't upside down, she soon received her answer. Looking out from behind the corner of the vehicle she was both surprised and concerned to see a huge seven foot tall figure wearing Mjolnir armour which could only be a Spartan. She hadn't been informed by her employee about the impossibility of a spartan or else she'd have brought some sort of powerful weaponry with her but oh well; it was nothing but a momentary set back and would in fact make for a good excuse to weasel an extra payment out of her current employer. With the question of how the vehicle was upturned and put right answered Xia-Yu watched. She counted her target, his escort and the Spartan for roughly a total of about six people. These numbers made very little difference as Xia-Yu bent down on her knee next to the APV. From her pack she removed the last of her remotely detonated mines, stretched her arm beneath the vehicle and attached it close to the front left wheel's axle. Hopefully that location would be enough to destroy or otherwise damage the vehicle's axle system enough to stop it from moving as there was very little way she could actually catch up to it.
With the last of her explosives in position Xia-Yu crept around to the back corner of the vehicle keeping her mechanical arms as close to her body as possible for the sole sake of not banging them against the APVas the sound of metal on metal was always very audible and Xia-Yu did not wish to reveal her presence yet. She pressed up against the immobile vehicle and peered around the back left corner, based on the direction the APV was facing, and saw a soldier coming towards her. She pulled her head back behind the vehicle grateful her armour's colour helped her blend in with the vehicle slightly. She waited patiently, silently counting the seconds as her first victim of the day slowly walked towards her. When the poor member of the cookie squad turned around the corner Xia-Yu's mechanical arms grabbed him as she clamped a hand over his mouth. Keeping his mouth covered Xia-Yu's mechanical arms snapped his neck breaking the spine and killing him instantly. Still holding his body she gently lowered it down and hid it beneath the APV. That was one soldier down and about four left to go. Xia-Yu slowly crept around the back of the vehicle keeping low to the ground her additional arms folded up close to her body until she was in striking range of ehr target. Xia-Yu lunged out from behind the vehicle and reached for the VIP attempting to grab them with her additional arms . If nobody stopped her she'd soon end up with the VIP held hostage in her arms using him as a meat shield between herself and the soldiers. Xia-Yu's plan, provided she managed to actually take the VIP hostage, was use his life to buy her escape by taking that hopefully still functioning APV and just drive out of there. Sure there was a risk involved in that strategy but sometimes you had to take the active role in getting things done.

"Ok, Si, everybody try and group up to try and protect the VIP" Red shouted through her thick helmet as she pulled her rifle around and ready to be aimed. She pulled back the bolt to launch the prime shot out and load in one of the massive 14.7 rounds into the chamber and turned towards where she saw the VIP and jogged over, seeing the 3 soldiers over surrounding the man.
"Red, my indicator states that there is extra heat signiture and an exceptional amount of electrical energy being produced close by... I suggest you be on the look out, as someone has already been killed, as I can see the location, though the heat is masking it slightly" was all Crescent said before activating the HUD map and showing an above map with the small group of soldiers, a laying body, and a disturbance nearby.
"Gracias" Red replied, peering by. She is a master marksman, anything getting near her would be littered with a rifle shot almost twice as powerful as a .50 caliber.

Xia-Yu could barely hear the voices of the soldiers over the howling gales of the wind but it didn't really matter too much. She'd grabbed the VIP and wrapped her arms around him clamping a hand over his mouth to shut him the hell up. She began to suffocate the man with a choke lock eventually causing him to loose consciousness which was great. An unconscious prisoner was much easier to carry and transport so Xia-Yu hoisted him onto her back and began creeping towards the entrance to the APV. Just as she reached it, put the VIP inside and secured him to a chair so he couldn't escape the sandstorm cleared up incredibly quickly. Sadly for Xia-Yu as the sandstorm had cleared up she was utterly exposed and the Spartan would easily be able to see her and detect her by rader. Xia-Yu froze and stared at the Spartan passively through her visor then she withdrew a submachine gun and pointed it at the VIP. "Move and he's dead." In a straight up fight between herself and a Spartan Xia-Yu knew the Spartan's enhanced physical condition would screw her over in many different ways and as such she wasn't going to give the Spartan a single chance. Keeping the weapon pointed at the VIP Xia-Yu was far more than willing to simply kill him and make her own escape if needs be; however she knew that to extract him and hand him over to her employer would mean a much greater paycheck and if she managed to get safely into the APV with the VIP it'd be easy for her to escape. She knew Spartans were strong and fast but surely they weren't fast enough to catch up and then stop a heavily armoured vehicle driving at full speed? Xia-Yu waited and watched the soldiers, Red included, keeping her gun trained on the VIP's head.

"Who are you?" Red shouted, pointing her rifle at the APV and at the person attempting to take control of the VIP. She knew all and well that is she shot, the bullet would clearly destroy whatever it hit, and with her master marksmanship just aiming for the front tire would flip the car like it had before, and from the abuse it already received the top would collapse in on itself and kill all inside, and she couldn't have that. What would she do... "Don't hurt him.... What do you want?".
She was ready for what was ahead, consciously activating sniper's assistance to see if anything struck odd to Crescent. Before she got a reply though, she noticed one of the group, began to lift his rifle towards the assailant before Red quickly pulled out her handgun and shot the barrel of the rifle, knocking from the man's hands and destroying it's firing mechanism. She was trying to be as less hostile as she possibly could, and quickly removed her helmet to show her peaceful desire, revealing her short, blood red hair and dark red eyes, her smile and all. Obviously she couldn't trust the assailant and as quickly as possible, Crescent activated her Active Camouflage. She aimed for the hood of the vehicle and fired off her 14.7 rifle.
BAM BAM BAM
If the vehicle had not started moving yet, the hood would be torn to shreads by the three rifle rounds, and if it had already began to move the front seats would be pelted by bullets even more powerful then a .50 caliber bullet. Very few can survive a direct shot from a 14.7, and almost all of the survivors were Spartans of the EVO class. She would then aim the rifle towards the assailant and VIP and send off a warning shot below into the dirt to signal a surrender, trying not to get the VIP killed, though she could care less as she planned running away from the UNSC when available, she just needed to get money to cover running expenses and all of that. If this man died, she would make her break as quickly as possible, leaving no trace behind. No one would leave alive, unless they tried hard and fast.
(Your ending post makes me believe you are not in the car, so i will assume as such, but just message me if your char is already, as i am not sure.)

Xia-Yu stared coldly at the Spartan standing against her wondering why this female Spartan was willingly working with the U.N.S.C; they were horrible people and utter monsters who would use you then discard of you callously once you'd outlived your usefulness. Xia-Yu saw on of the human soldiers raise his rifle and she instinctively started to pull back on the trigger but stopped when the Spartan shot the gun out of that human's hand which was a good thing indeed as it meant Xia-Yu didn't have to execute her hostage quite so soon. Surprisingly the Spartan removed her helmet, a stupid move in all honesty, exposing bright red hair and a female face...only to swiftly turn invisible. Xia-Yu had not been expecting active camouflage, even if she was she had no tools to counter it, and was half expecting an attack behind but then the hood of the vehicle was blasted apart by high caliber gunfire. The Spartan had destroyed Xia-Yu's best and easiest way out of here which was very...foolish. The assassin gripped her hostage tighter pressing the gun further against his face. The warning shot into the dirt below triggered no response, either physical or emotional, as Xia-Yu was utterly and completely devoid of any fear. "You had a chance. I warned you." And then Xia-Yu's mechanical arms sprang to life gripping the VIP by the head and twisting hard. A sickening crunch filled the air as the VIP's neck was snapped clean in half bone protruding out of the flesh.
The assassin threw the body towards the Spartan then sat down on the ground folding her arms in silent surrender. She knew that her only way to get out of here alive would be to use the cover of the sandstorm but sadly that had already blown past and there was no way she could out run a Spartan across open terrain. With all of that in mind Xia-Yu surrendered having technically completed her mission and that sadly meant she could not nor would be able to get any further help from the people who had hired her. She was on her own for the time being and would need to arrange her own escape which sadly in this situation was impossible. Xia-Yu's plan was to get captured, transported to some other location and then break out of the facility at a later date. Xia-Yu had broken into numerous military installations controlled by the U.N.S.C in the past and as such breaking out would be an incredibly easy matter to accomplish. Having surrendered she threw her weapons across the dusty ground towards the human soldiers, whom seemed rather confused about Xia-Yu's sudden surrender, and folded her mechanical arms up onto her back. The oddest thing out of the assassin's behaviour was how she started to hum to herself sitting their utterly motionless. Hopefully none of the human soldiers, or the Spartan for that matter, would try to remove Xia-Yu's armour; if they did the arms would roar to life and burry numerous blades in their chest.

As the neck of the VIP was snapped violently in front of her, Red's eyes darkened in content. Her rifle's bolt flew back, with a loud CHING sound, before the shell flew out and into the dirt and sand. Her gaze moved from the Assassin to her soldiers, and to the body, before she slid her bolt back into place as another bullet popped itself in place. She slowly walked over to the Assailant, going behind her nd silently pulling out her handgun. Her helmet, still back where it was over on the ground between the Marines and Xia-Yu, shouted loudly, as Crescent was trying to get Red's clouded attention.
"DON'T DO IT RED! YOU'LL BE DISCHARGED AND ARRESTED!
It was to late... As Red had already placed her iron sight on the first of the few Marines, before quickly taking a shot at them, at least hitting one directly in the front of his forehead and deep into his skull.
BANG BANG BANG....
That was all that could be heard before the Spartan whispered at the back of Xia-Yu in her silent tone. "If you don't run for it, I can not insure your safety, so I advise running". After finishing the sentence, she bolted for her helmet, grabbing it while running and holding her forearm blades to physically attack the Marines, whom she would begin a fist fight with. Gun shots were fired off in a multitude of bangs and repeated shotgun and rifle rounds smashing into the sandy dust below. She had no intention of doing this, but she would have been let of if she had not completed this mission, "So go off with a bang" as she always said". As she was pelted with a hell-fire of shotgun ball bearings and rifle rounds, she threw the rifle dropped by her dead comrade into the left-overs of her squad, and shot twice into the chest of the one she had called Bob Ross, grabbing his shotgun she would proceed to pelt down the rest of him, before running past Mr.Whiskers and impaling his skull with around a half of foot of extremely shar metal. She would pull out the sharpened blade, blood squirting out of the wound and onto the weapon before she would pull her arms to her side. She had committed a grave act against the UNSC, those murderer devils who killed her mother, and kidnapped her from birth, she had never forgave them, and never would. She could care how they treat her or what they think of her, but for now, she could care less. They were her enemy, and always have, so she thought of this as a revenge plan rather a get away idea. She just hoped none of the Marines called for help via com links while she betrayed them, or she would have to deal with even more marines, or even worse....
Other Spartans.
She looked back over to see if Xia-Yu had run or not, and before seeing if so, shouted aloud to where she would most likely be able to hear it. "Hey... My name is Red, Red Rubin, Spartan, and probably still enemy to you, so I suggest we part ways here, because this battle is futile now. Take the body of the VIP if you want, he has his plans for his newest weapons in his briefcase, so you might get a bonus from your employer if you retrieve both of those. Have fun, I am going to finish some unwanted business". She placed back on her helmet, hearing nothing except heavy breathing from Cresc who had to watch the one she saw as a daughter slaughter three men hand to hand. She didn't talk to her the whole time, just silently activated the COMs system, deactivating the COMs link to the UNSC and shutdown the radio, to power the HUD.

Kneeling in the sand the cyborg watched Red walking towards her loading a new shell into her rifle. It was very likely that, as Red walked behind Xia-Yu withdrawing a handgun, the cyborg would die here yet despite that she felt no fear or remorse. It was hard to feel fear or remorse over the end of your life when you'd forgotten pretty much everything prior to your military life and as such Xia-Yu was more than willing to face her end with open arms. In fact as she considered her apparently upcoming death would be a relief from the endless agony of having a happy past but being unable to remember it. Amazingly enough the thing Xia-Yu expected to happen couldn't have been further from the truth as the Spartan with the rifle turned her focus upon the human soldiers she had been serving with. Looking up at the sound of gunfire Xia-Yu was relieved to see the Spartan had gone rouge and began to kill the human soldiers she was with. It was a perfect chance for Xia-Yu to make her leave seeing as how the Spartan was probably no longer going to be a hostile; after all Red had killed her allies or was in the process of it.Honestly Xia-Yu could have assisted Red in killing these fools but the cyborg was more interested in getting out of their alive. Survival mattered a damn sight more to Xia-Yu than forming any allegiance with this rogue Spartan. Xia-Yu rose to her feet and saw one of the soldiers was attempting to call for assistance which would be bad for both Red and Xia-yu. Grabbing a rock from the ground Xia-0Yu chucked it at that soldier who was distracted from the radio call long enough for Ruby to kill him. By the time the Spartan had finished killing all of the soldiers Xia-Yu would have apparently disappeared. The truth of the matter was Xia-Yu fled into the sands of the desert while Ruby was being executing the soldiers she'd served with up until this point.
