Basic Rules of the Site
Firstly, the basic ground rules, which, if you have been on RPGs before, are more than likely well acquainted with already.
Don’t Godmod – The golden rule of any RPG. You should not be responsible for the actions of any other character. Because of the freedom we allow in our story lines here, you can control any NPCs that have been brought in by yourselves, but don’t start controlling other characters in your posts. This also extends to declaring hits or successful attacks on characters played by someone else.
Don’t Metagame – The ever-present companion to the first rule. Discussion between players is fine, but you shouldn't introduce any OOC knowledge into your IC posts unless the character has a reason to know it. This also includes internal monologues that the other character might have done, that you read, but your character didn't hear.
No Double Accounts - Each player on the site is allowed to have only one account. If anyone is caught trying to gain more characters by creating additional accounts, they will be forced to choose one account. The other account, as well as all characters on it, will be deleted. In some cases, additional penalties may be applied.
Respect - Respect the staff and respect your fellow members. This shouldn't even have to be said, but it should be noted that any flaming, bullying, harassment or anything else of the sort will result in a warning. Staff should also be respect; they'd taken time out of their day to help run this place, don't treat them badly for being nice enough to do that.
Use Common Sense - There are a number of things which aren't explicitly stated here, but really, it's just common sense. Don't spam topics that aren't meant to be spam; don't be racist, any of that stuff; be reasonable.
Loopholes - I know what human beings are like. It's in our nature to find a way to abuse rules... Well, please refrain from doing that here. If you find a loophole, bring it to the attention of staff instead of abusing it. We are a new site and we are just starting out. So there could be places not specified or covered yet by us. If a loophole is found and used then you will be warned and if you abuse another loophole you will be in bigger trouble, handled on a case-by-case basis. When a situation like this arises, a global moderator or administrator will always have the final say.
Character Creation and Information
The first thing that you would be interested in is the character creation process. There is no limit to what we expect you to write, but it is encouraged that you take the time to develop the character as much as you can, so people reading your profile will have a good idea who they’re playing with.
Plot – July, 2558; One year after the New Phoenix incident, and four months after the second tour on Remnant, humanity stands tall, the victors once more whilst still crippling Jul'Mdama's forces. Blue Team are back together, Spartans are the pride of the UNSC and the Infinity sails the cosmos deploying them wherever they are needed. ONI have select plans of their own, but all is not as well as it seems, as strange slipspace phenomenon occur in the depths of space, and traces of the flood have been found among several newly discovered Forerunner installations. Only god knows what will happen next...
Characters – Characters can be created in a variety of classes and factions. They can be Spartans, Elites, ODSTs, Marines, Admirals, ONI Agents, Jackals, Police Militia, Insurrectionists, Civilians, ect. They can be anything that isn't on the banned list, as long as it is within reason. Even custom races approved in the custom creations section. See below for the current banned list.
Banned Factions/Types/Races – Currently banned are: Hunters (Mgalekgolo), Heads of an ONI division, Engineers (Huragok), Prophets (San 'Shyuum).
Character Application - After you've read through all of the rules listed here, you will want to create your character. Be sure to read ALL the rules, and remember to try and choose something unique rather than cliche. The character application can be found here: CLICK ME!
Character Ranks - To limit the amount of Spartan IIs or ONI agents running around, there are some small requirements to sheets of different levels, in an attempt to make those types of characters less common and more fleshed out. Check out the full guide right here: CLICK ME!
Links You'll need!
Site Timeline - While the summary of our current point in the plot might be a little helpful, reading the Site Timeline which gives some more detailed information as well as shows our version of the timeline. If you know your Halo lore, you should be able to notice some of the differences. If you don't know it all to well, only one or two differences might be realized. Either way, this is essential for someone playing a canon and worth reading for an OC player.
Available Canons - If you're here to play the Master Chief or any of our other available canon characters, you'll be wanting to stop into and check out our ever growing Canons List. If you find that the character you want to play is taken, I'm sure we can find something else for you. If the person you want to play isn't on the list, PM TimeCraked and he'll help you out.
Credits System - Check out the Credits system, our way of making people earn their way to those custom vehicles, ships or equipment that they want for their characters. Credits are our site's currency, and are earned on a per post basis and can be spent on a few things. Find out the basics about them here: CLICK ME!
R&D and the Shipyard - When you've earned yourself some credits, you may be wanting to spend them on something for yourself. There are two places you can do this; the Shipyard and R&D. The Shipyard is where you purchase your personal Vehicles and Ships. Ships can only be bought for yourself after reaching the equivalent rank to Captain in your faction. (Note: You don't actually HAVE to be the rank your character is counted as. For RP purposes they can stay their low rank and still qualify for things.) R&D is where you go to get new armor, weapons and equipment. You can also upgrade previously gained items or get your suit fitted for both Armor Enhancements and Abilities for the sum of 50cR.
Custom Creations - Here's where things can really get creative! You have the Shipyard for ships, R&D for personal equipment and Character Creation for your character. Custom Creations is where you can get things like Lore, New standard issue technologies and custom races added to the site's personal lore. For example, working together Neo-Devil and some other members brought a modified version of the Tau from WH40k into the site. You can find it here.
