There was no response, he felt nothing no presence in his mind, when he felt the back of his neck Epsilon's chip was gone. He saw Marcus enter the medbay, but he didn't focus on him. Angel got up slowly, and moved towards the door, but when he got closer the door didn't open. when we swiped his keycard the door still refused to open and he was given an error message.

Marcus walked over to Angel when he was trying to open the door, and he put a hand on his shoulder. He let the Doubles speak, before offering forwards his own condolences for what had happened. "Zephyr and I don't really know what to say to you... We aren't good with this kind of stuff. We're, uh, sorry..." Marcus wasn't good with emotions so he had no idea what might have been going on with Angel right now, but he knew as a friend he needed to be their to help. |

Angel shrugged off Marcus's hand and punches the door terminal with all the force he could muster. crushing the terminal the door opened and he walked out.

he looked back at Marcus and at Two.
"All of you."
He kept walking down to the recovery area of Pacific Base. If Epsilon's chip would be anywhere it would be there. When he found Epsilon's chip, he took it and moved towards the memorial hall. | |

"I'll catch up to him." Taking a quick route through the maintenance corridors, Two reached the Memorial Hall, finding herself alone. If he was going anywhere, it was going to be here."Two, we still need to give him that AI."
"And we will. I'm just waiting for him to get here." Booting the second AI into her own suit alongside Three, the specialised systems designed to house her for the time being coming to life, she felt the boot finish.
"Still don't want to give her up, I've spent weeks teaching her everything she'll need to know, and she's so cute. Still, orders are orders, I suppose." Projecting her hologram, she stood next to Two, looking around the room. "Beginning reboot. Waiting... Waiting... Waiting... Reboot complete." A second hologram appeared, quite different in colour and style to the first. Hugging the second hologram, Three relaxed a bit. "See? She's so cute!" "I didn't deny it."

Marcus let Two go ahead of them to catch Angel, and he slammed his hand into the wall, frustrated. "Fucking hell." He muttered as he started walking to meet the others. "What are you mad about?" Zephyr asked as he ran a scan of Marcus' body to make sure he wasn't over stressing.
"My friend is... I dunno what he is, but it's not good. Do I need another reason to be pissed?" Zephyr shook his head and then nodded. "S'pose not. Guess I'll leave you guys alone for a bit." Marcus was getting closer to the memorial hall. "You better." |

"Figures as much. In honor of those who lost their lives in service of the UNSC. but let it be only human lives lost. they don't see them human enough to engrave a simple name let alone say anything about them."
Angel looked at the chip in his hand. A small hexagonal chip on one side a small spike that would connect directly to the spinal cord and on the other. A symbol to show which AI was housed in the chip itself.
"Makes you think, with all our augmentations do they still see us as human? or do they see us as a disposable machine that needs no name to remember."
Angel placed Epsilon's empty chip on the wall, then faced Two and Marcus.
"He was still in my mind when he killed himself for me. I felt his pain, all of it. and now all i feel is his emptiness, and his loneliness do you know what thats like?" | |

Marcus though for a moment at Angel's question. Did he know what that felt like, to experience the pain and the sadness and the emptiness of lost comrades from the battlefield...? He decided he's answer. "Do I know what it's like? I don't know... I haven't felt that directly before, but I've felt my own pain and sadness, I've seen the wartorn families of colonies looking at the corpses of their own family members with looks that just make your heart feel like it's been ripped out... I've seen planets turned to ash and the bravery of men crushed beneath the boots of governments. I've seen pain and sadness and horror... But I can't say that I've felt what you felt at that moment." Marcus then shook his head and took off his helmet. "But this isn't about me today... This is about being here for a friend." |

Angel felt like punching yet another door.
"Two you can't be serious on this, what about the damage to my brain, doesn't that stop me from having an AI period?"
Angel found the door he was going to make a sizable dent in.
"And as the UNSC is so fond of explaining. What if it doesn't match up with my brain, as I remember we have to do a lot of test for even seeing if we are compatible with the AI"
Angel walked straight up the the door and threw a punch at it. making a big dent in it, not even moving his hand from the dent he said to Two in a more calmly matter.
"What if i don't WANT another AI with after what happen to Epsilon?"
After what had seemed like an eternity Angel finally moved away from the door and faced Two, he was looking for answers he couldn't find himself.

Marcus watched as Angel flew into a rage, punching another door and going on a rant. It was VERY clear that he was not in any way shape or form emotionally or mentally prepared to accept a new AI partnet. No way. Marcus was concerned but shut his mouth as he heard the Doubles continue. It was a direct order from ONI pressumably, and Marcus didn't want to get into anymore shit with them so he stepped back and left it to those three to sort out. |
